Teenage girl allegedly raped in train toilet

Police arrested a young man in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna on allegation of raping a teenage girl in Rajshahi-bound 'Silk City' train on Thursday, reports UNB.

The arrested is Maminul, 26, from Chapainawabganj sadar upazila.

When the 14-year-old girl, from Sirajganj, went to the toilet of the train, Maminul went there and raped her, said Rajshahi railway police officer-in-charge Syed Iqbal.

Hearing screams of the victim, passengers of the train rushed to the spot and caught Maminul. They beat him up and handed over to railway police station in Ishwardi.

The victim along with her aunt was going to Damurkuda in Paba upazila of Rajshahi to visit her aunt's house.
