Liberation war affairs minister AKM Mozammel Haque has said the home ministry is preparing a list of razakars, who were involved in killing, arson and other criminal activities against humanity during the country’s liberation war in 1971.

“The government will publish the list of razakars prepared by the home ministry without any change,” the minister said in reply to a question of a newsman after inaugurating a Muktijoddha Complex in Atghoria upazila of Pabna on Saturday.

About the death penalty of some of those who committed crimes against humanity, the minister said judiciary has found them guilty and handed down the death penalty, reports BSS.

“Stand of some people against the court verdict is tantamount to opposition to the country’s constitution,” he said.

“The government is fully alert about the activities of the supporters of the war criminals,” the minister said.

Pabna deputy commissioner Kabir Mahmood chaired the function.

Mozammel Haque said the government of Sheikh Hasina has honoured freedom fighters at its level best.

He said the graveyards of the freedom fighters across the country would be preserved in a same design as a mark of showing homage to them.

Freedom fighters would get bonus on the occasion of Victory Day and Independence Day. Their allowances will also be increased from the current level, he added.
