Wall collapse kills toddler

A toddler was killed and four others were injured in a wall collapse at Kathgara in Ashulia on Wednesday, reports UNB.

The deceased is Tasim Hossain, the one and a half year old son of Nazmul Hossain of the area.

A fire broke out from the gas stove of a house on the ground floor of the building in the morning due to gas leakage, said, Jahangir Alam, senior station officer of Ashulia DEPZ Fire Service Control room.

An explosion followed and a part of the wall collapsed, killing the boy on the spot and injuring four others, he added.

The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
