Two more confess in Rifat murder

Two more accused in Rifat Sharif murder case have reportedly confessed to their crimes before a Barguna court on Thursday, reports UNB.

Chandan and Md Hasan were produced before court where senior judicial magistrate Gazi Md Sirajul Islam recorded their statement at 8:00pm, said investigation officer inspector Md Humayun Kabir.

Two other accused - Oli and Tanvir - had also confessed to their crimes before the court.

Rifat, 22, was hacked to death by criminals in front of his wife Ayesha Siddika Minni in broad daylight in the district town on 26 June. The incident was caught on surveillance camera.

Police have arrested 10 people so far. The main accused, Sabbir Ahmed alias Nayan Bond, was killed in a reported gunfight with police in the sadar upazila last week.
