Bangladeshi killed by BSF: BGB

A Bangladeshi national was shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Burimari border in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat on Sunday, reports UNB.

The deceased is Arshadul Haque, 30, son of Ehsanul Haque of Islampur village of the upazila.

Commanding officer of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) Rangpur-61 battalion lieutenant colonel Shariful Islam said when Arshadul went to 840/3 Sub pillar of the border to bring cattle, a patrol team of BSF fired gunshot on him, leaving him dead.

BGB has sent a letter to BSF for holding a flag meeting in this regard, he added.
