Eighth-grader 'gang-raped'

A girl of Class VIII was reportedly gang-raped at Tiorkhali village in Magura's Salikha upazila on Saturday night, reports UNB.

Torikul Islam, officer-in-charge of Salikha police station, said three youths armed with sharp weapons cut fence and entered the victim's room while she was sleeping at night.

They took the girl to a nearby jute field and gang-raped her, he added.

At one stage, the girl became senseless. Few hours after the three left, she went home and disclosed the matter to family members, the police official added.

Being informed, police rescued the girl and admitted her to Magura Sadar Hospital.

After medical test, a case will be recorded, said the OC.
