'BSF' kills one more Bangladeshi

A Bangladeshi national was shot dead allegedly by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Kiranganj border in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj early Monday.

The deceased was Dulal, 20, son of Safikul Islam of the area.

Quoting locals, Binodpur Union Parishad chairman Enamul Haque said BSF members of Murshidabad camp fired gunshots on a group of youths, including Dulal, when they went near border pillar No. 178 around 2:00am, leaving Dulal dead.

Later the BSF men dragged away Dulal's body, he added.

Commanding officer of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) Rangpur-59 battalion lieutenant colonel Mahmudul Hasan said BGB will hold a flag meeting with BSF over the incident soon.

On Sunday, another Bangladeshi was shot dead by the BSF at Burimari border in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat.
