PM meets President

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Sunday.

"During the meeting, they exchanged greetings following the eid and hajj greetings," President's press secretary Ihsanul Karim said.

During the one-hour meeting that started at 2 pm, the prime minister also apprised the president of the outcome of her recent USA visit to attend the 69th UNGA.

In reply to a question, the press secretary told reporters that the president signed the file relating to the removal of minister Abdul Latif Siddique from the cabinet.

Cabinet secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan and secretaries concerned to the president and PM Office were present.
