Man killed in Kushtia ‘gunfight’

An alleged robber was killed in a reported gunfight with police in Mirpur upazila of Kushtia early Wednesday.

The police, however, could not give details of the deceased’s identity.

Confirming the ‘gunfight’, Mirpur police station officer-in-charge Rafiqul Islam said that the man was rushed to Mirpur upazila health complex with severe bullet injuries where the physicians declared him dead.
