Two students of Dhaka’s Ideal School and College were found dead on Sunday, a day after three friends had gone missing in the Dhaleswari river, reports UNB.

The body of Akash, 18, was recovered from Nama Gendaria area around 11:15am, said AFM Sayed, officer-in-charge of Savar model police station.

Mehedi’s body was recovered from the same area around 1:00pm, the OC added.

Both were HSC first-year students.

Fire service’s station officer Liton Ahmed said 12 students of the college had come to Bank Town, adjacent to the Dhaka-Aricha highway, for a river cruise on Saturday.

Mehedi, 17, Rajon, 17, and Akash went missing shortly after getting into the river around noon.
