Asaduzzaman Mia reappointed as DMP commissioner

Asaduzzaman Mia, the outgoing commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, has been reappointed on contractual basis for the next 30 days, reports UNB.

He will join the contractual job on Wednesday as per the order of the president, said a press release issued by the public administration ministry on Tuesday.

He will serve till 13 September.

The appointment was made on condition of the cancellation of his post-retirement leave.

Asaduzzaman Mia joined as DMP commissioner on 7 January 2015 and completed his tenure on 13 August (Tuesday).
