Teenage boy's body retrieved from bay

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) recovered the body of a teenage boy, who drowned in the Bay of Bengal, from Lambharghat in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Thursday, reports UNB.

The victim was Mohammad Ali, 15.

According to BCG headquarters, the boy drowned in the bay while playing football at the Teknaf beach on Wednesday.

Being informed, a team from Coast Guard Teknaf station under East Zone launched a rescue operation and recovered the floating body of Mohammad around 7:30am on Thursday, said Hayet Ibne Siddique, media officer of the BCG headquarters.

The body was handed over to Teknaf model police station, he added.
