Bogura boat capsize: Two more bodies recovered

bograThe bodies of two more victims, who went missing after an engine-run boat with more than a hundred passengers capsized in the Jamuna river in Sariakandi upazila, were recovered on Thursday, according to UNB.

One of the deceased was Kajoli Begum, 25.

With this, a total of four bodies have so far been found while three others still remained missing.

Locals said they had spotted the bodies floating in the river at Kutubpur around 10:00am and informed police.

On Wednesday, the boat heading towards Kalitala Ghat from Manikdair Char capsized around 11:30am as its bottom was damaged.

Although most of the passengers managed to swim ashore, seven went missing. Later, the floating bodies of the two women were retrieved from the river.
