Two minors drown in Magura

Two children drowned in a pond at Khardofulbari and Nikhorhata villages in Mohammadpur upazila in Magura on Friday evening, reports UNB.

The deceased are Jannati Khatun, 2, daughter of Jamir Hossain of Khardofulbari village and Abuja, 5, son of Dhalu Molla of Nikhorhata village in the upazila.

Jannati crawled to the pond and drowned on Friday evening at Khrdafulbari village while Abujar drowned in a pond in Nikhorhata village while playing nearby, said Mohammadpur Police officer-in-charge Taroknath Biswas.

Two separate cases were filed in this regard, the OC added.
