Newly-wed couple ‘commits suicide’ in Magura

A newly-wed couple reportedly took their own lives at Raghobdair village in Sadar upazila of Magura on Tuesday night, barely three weeks after tying the knot, reports UNB.

The deceased are Nirab Biswas, 20, and Sraboni Biswas, 18, of the village.

Locals said they killed themselves after failing to get consent of their parents.

Police recovered the bodies at night and sent them to a local hospital for autopsy, said Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station.

An unnatural death case was filed in connection with the incident.
