Bodies of missing kids found in Panchagarh

Police here recovered bodies of two children who remained missing for eight hours, from Ramganj Bilashi area of Teesta River in Debiganj upazila of Panchagarh on Friday night, reports UNB.

The deceased were identified as Abdullah, 9, son of Faruk Hossain of Ramganj Bilashi area and his cousin, Shaon, 7, son of Aliul Islam of the same area.

Officer-in-charge of Debiganj police station Rabiul Hassan quoting the locals said the duo went missing on Friday afternoon after they left their homes to play at the bank of Teesta River.

After hours of frantic efforts the divers of local fire service found the bodies, he said.

The bodies have been handed over to the families, the OC said.
