Road accident kills two

Two workers were killed as a covered van crashed into a three- wheeler at Baroipara on Chandra-Nabinagar highway in Kaliakoir, Gazipur on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Nazrul, 38 and Zarjid, 35, workers of a local factory.

Mujibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Konabari higway police station, said the accident took place in front of Nandan Park around 7:30am, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

On information, police went to the spot, recovered the bodies and sent those to Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
