Biman hijack attempt: Actress Shimla quizzed
A team of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit on Thursday interrogated the film actress Shamsun Nahar Shimla over her ex-husband Polash Ahmed who was killed during an attempt to hijack a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight in Chattogram on 24 February, reports UNB.
Investigation officer Rajesh Barua, also sub-inspector of CTTC, said he interrogated Shimla for three hours from 11am when she went to CTTC's Chattogram unit after returning from India.
On 24 March, law enforcers also interrogated the parents, relatives and neighbours of Polash Ahmed in Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj district.
On 24 February, Polash Ahmed attempted to hijack a Dubai-bound flight of Biman at Chattogram airport.
Foiling the bid, the crew members and pilot made emergency landing at the airport and Polash was later killed by members of joint forces.
