2 killed as bus collides with truck in Sirajganj

At least two people were killed and 10 others injured when a truck collided with a bus at Dathia area of Raiganj upazila in Sirajganj on Thursday morning.

The deceased are Anwar Hossain, 35, son of Abdur Rahsid of Sariakandi village of Bogura and Nazrul Islam, 32, son of Azim Uddin of the same area.

A Bogura-bound bus from Sirajganj hit the truck in the area while overtaking another truck leaving two passengers of the truck dead on the spot and 10 more injured including five passengers from the bus, said Hatikumrul highway police officer in-charge Akhtaruzzaman.

The injured were admitted in different hospitals, OC said. A case has been filed in connection with the incident.
