Derailment halts Mymensingh’s rail communications
Train communications of Mymensingh with other parts of the country remained suspended since Tuesday morning following the derailment of a train in Sadar upazila, reports UNB.
A bogie of Dewanganj-bound Teesta Express train veered off the tracks at Kewatkhali, 2 kilometres off Mymensingh Railway Station, around 11:00am, said M Mosharraf Hossain, officer-in-charge of Mymensingh railway police station.
On information, a relief train from the Mymensingh Railway Station rushed in to salvage the derailed compartment, he said.
