Drive against drugs, irregularities to continue: Hasan Mahmud

Information minister Hasan Mahmud on Friday said the ongoing drives against drugs and irregularities will continue, reports UNB. 

He said this while inaugurating an inter-school television debate competition at Bangladesh Television's Chattogram centre as the chief guest in the afternoon, said a PID handout.

"The drives are going on in the capital. They will begin in Chattogram too," he said.

Jubo League's central committee leader Golam Kibriya Shamim was arrested from the capital in the afternoon with illegal firearms and a huge amount of money.

Earlier on Wednesday, RAB arrested Jubo League leader Khalid Mahmud Bhuiyan from Gulshan for running an illegal casino.
