3 students die in Dinajpur boat capsize

Two students of Haji Mohammad Danesh Science  and Technology University and another of Dinajpur Govt Women’s College drowned as a boat capsized in Ashura Beel in Nababganj upazila of Dinajpur on Saturday afternoon, reports UNB.

The deceased are Ashfak Dipto, a student of Civil Engineering Department , Rafid Hasan of Fisheries Department of the university and Faria Mou, a first year student of Dinajpur Government Women’s College.

Subrata Kumar Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Nababganj police station, said the accident took place around 3:45pm when five people including the three students were enjoying a journey by boat in the water body.

Two others- Monowar Hossain and Antu Mia -who were rescued alive were taken to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital.
