Petrobangla official among 2 killed in road crash

Two people including a Petrobangla official have been killed and at least five others injured in a bus-microbus collision in Sirajganj on Wednesday, reports UNB.

The are Petrobangla deputy general manager Shahidullah Bari, 55, a resident of Jashore Sadar and microbus driver Anwar Hossain, 37, of Char Khokshabari of Sirajganj Sadar upazila.

The five injured have been rescued and admitted to Sirajganj and Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College hospitals. Three of them are in critical condition.

Confirming the accident, officer-in-charge of Hatikumrul highway police station Akhteruzzaman said that a Pabna bound bus from Dhaka collided head on with a microbus coming from the opposite direction at Pacholia of Sholonga thana of the district in the afternoon killing microbus driver Anwar Hossain on the spot.

Shahidullah Bari died on way to hospital.
