Teacher ‘raped’ speech-impaired teen

A speech-impaired teenage girl has allegedly been raped by schoolteacher at Kalinja village in Raiganj upazila in Sirajganj, reports UNB.

A case was filed against the accused school teacher Jahangir Alam on Wednesday over the incident that took place on Monday, said officer-in-charge of Raiganj police station Panchananda Sarkar.

Jahangir is an assistant teacher of Charbhadraghat Government Primary School in Kamarkhand upazila.

Jahangir took the girl, a neighbour, to his house on Monday afternoon luring her of giving biscuits where he violated her. 

Police were trying to arrest the accused, the OC said.
