Mohammedan Sporting Club's director (in-charge) Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan was sent on a two-day remand by a court on Friday in a case under the Narcotics Control Act, reports UNB.

The case was filed at Tejgaon police station on Thursday.

Police produced Lokman before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shorafuzzaman Ansari in the morning and sought five days to interrogate him.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Lokman from his Manipuripara residence in Dhaka on Thursday and recovered liquor from his house.

RAB also detained three others from the house for interrogation.

The drive was conducted following the recovery of casino board, cards, gambling boards and liquor from Mohammedan Sporting Club in Motijheel on 22 September.
