Missing man found dead in Sylhet Gowain river

Police on Monday recovered the body of a young man who went missing in the Gowain river in Gowainghat Upazila of Sylhet on Friday, reports UNB.

The deceased was Md Abdul Haq, son of late Kudrat Ullah of Purnanagar North Bolla village.

The youth went missing while fishing in the river on Friday night, said Gowainghat police station officer-in-charge Md Abdul Ahad.

Local people spotted the body of Abdul floating in the river around 12 pm and informed police. 

A general diary (GD) was lodged with Gowainghat police station.
