IU admission test: 27 to vie for each seat

The Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia will see 27 students on average to fight for each seat in this year’s admission tests for the 2019-20 academic session, reports UNB.

Altogether, 61,942 candidates are expected to take part in the entry tests, IU admission test technical committee member secretary professor Paresh Chandra Barman told UNB on Thursday morning.

There are 2,305 seats under four faculties of the university.

A total of 2, 223 students applied for 240 seats under A Unit (Theology Faculty), 27,637 for 1,065 seats under B Unit (Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty), 8,930 for 450 seats under C Unit (Business Administration Faculty) and 23, 152 for 550 seats under D Unit (Applied Sciences and Technology faculty).

The admission test will commence on 4 November, Paresh said.
