Hili land port to remain shut for 7 days

The export and import activities through Hili land port in Dinajpur will remain closed for seven days from Saturday due to Durga Puja, reports news agency UNB.

Exporter and Customs Clearing Agents Association secretary Sanjit Majumder said they have decided to shut trade through the port from 5 to 11 October.

However, the movement of passport-holder travellers through the check-post will continue as usual, said immigration check post officer-in-charge Md Rafikuzzaman.

Revenue officer Noor Amin of Hili Customs Station, said the customs office will remain closed only on the day of Bijoya Dashami (Tuesday).
