Three killed as bus falls into ditch

At least three persons were killed and nine others injured when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Kumardia of Nagarkanda upazila, Faridpur on Monday night.

The identity of the deceased could not be known yet.

The accident took place when the driver of a Dhaka-bound bus of Goldenline Paribahan from Patuakhali lost control over steering and the bus fell into a roadside ditch around 11:15pm, leaving a man and a woman dead on the spot and injuring 10, said Bhanga highway police sub-inspector Nityaranjan Mallik.

The injured were rushed to Moksedpur upazila health complex and Bhanga upazila health complex where another person succumbed to his injuries.

The bodies were taken to Bhanga highway police station.
