Bangladesh, Armenia discuss necessary IT coops

A delegation team led by Zunaid Ahmed Palak, state minister for ICT Division at the posts, telecommunications and information technology ministry held a meeting with Armenia’s high tech industry minister Hakob Arshakyan, reports Armen Press.

Quoting the ministry’s news statement, the Armenian media outlet said the delegation is now in Armenia at the invitation of Arshakyan to participate in the World Congress on Information Technology 2019 in Yerevan.

It also said Zunaid Ahmed thanked for the reception and noted that they’ve arrived for the first time in Armenia with a rather large delegation.

In addition to taking part in WCIT, it added, the delegation will also get to know Armenia’s high tech sector, the steps for the development of the ecosystem and to discuss cooperation opportunities.

The Armen Press further said Armenian minister Hakob Arshakyan welcomed the members of the delegation and briefed them on Armenia’s priorities in the IT sector, the projects and goals.

He presented the Armenian model directed at the development of startups and mentioned the Armenian startups who have already reached worldwide fame, it added.

The Armen Press also said Zunaid Ahmed later briefed about Bangladesh’s technology potential, ecosystem and the actions and goals aimed at the development of digital technologies.
