110 police personnel leave Dhaka to join UN Mission

A 110-member team of police left the capital on Thursday night to join the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali, reports UNB.

Additional IGP (HRM) Biswas Afzal Hossain, DIG (HR) SM Ruhul Amin and Officials of UN Affairs branch of the Police headquarters saw the peacekeepers off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, the police headquarters said in a press release.

Police members have been performing their duties with bravery and professionalism in Bamako since 2013, brightening Bangladesh’s image in the global arena.

Bangladesh Police have been taking part in peace missions since 1989.
