Expelled Jubo League Dhaka South unit president Ismail Hossain Samrat is being taken to Keraniganj central jail on Saturday after his discharge from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, reports news agency UNB.

Samrat was discharged from the hospital in the morning and he is being shifted to the central jail in Keraniganj, said jailer of Dhaka central jail Mahbubul Islam.
The authorities of Keraniganj jail took Samrat to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as he complained of chest pain on Tuesday. He was shifted to Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases.

A three-member medical board, headed by director of the hospital Afzalur Rahman, was formed for his treatment.

A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members arrested Samrat and one of his assistants Arman, vice president of Dhaka South unit Jubo League, from Chauddagram upazila in Cumilla on 6 October.

A mobile court, led by RAB executive magistrate Sarwar Alam, sentenced Samrat to six months’ imprisonment under the Wildlife Conservation Act after the elite force had recovered two kangaroo hides from his Kakrail office in the capital.

He was then sent to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj on that day.
