The second phase of the coordinated patrol (CORPAT) of the navies of Bangladesh and India started in Northern Bay of Bengal, reports All India Radio.

Quoting a press release issued by the Indian Navy, the Indian radio on Friday said a guided-missile destroyer INS Ranvijay and ingeniously built missile Corvette INS Kuthar are participating in the exercise along with BNS Ali Haider, and BNS Shadinota from Bangladesh.

It also said the two-day patrol will be followed by the maiden edition of Bilateral Exercise of the navies of two countries at Visakhapatnam between 12 and 16 October.

The CORPAT between the two nations began in 2018 aiming at development of mutual communication and sharing of best practices between the two navies, it added.
