Missing schoolgirl found dead

Jemi Akhter. Photo: UNBA schoolgirl who went missing while going to school in Roumari upazila on Wednesday was found dead on Saturday, reports UNB.

Police recovered the body of Jemi Akhter, 13, a Class-VIII student of Pakhiura High School and daughter of certain Shah Alam Pramanik of Uttar Khauria village in the upazila, from Uttar Khaunia Sukherchar area in the afternoon.

Police and locals said Jemi left home on Wednesday morning for school and went missing.

A general diary was lodged with Roumari Police Station in this regard.

Locals spotted the body in Uttar Khaunia Sukherchar rea on Saturday afternoon and informed the police.

They were investigating the incident, said officer-in-charge of Roumari police station Abu M Dilwar Hasan Inam.
