Couple’s hanging bodies found in Savar

Bodies of a man and his wife found hanging at a house at Buribazar in Ashulia, Savar, on the outskirts of the capital on Friday morning, police said.

The deceased were identified as Parvez Mia, 26 and his wife Sadia Akhter, 23, both garment workers, reports news agency UNB.

Confirming the matter, Rezaul Haque Dipu, officer-in-charge of Ashulia police station, said on information policemen recovered the bodies hanging in a room.

The bodies were sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy, he said adding that the couple might have committed suicide.

Parvez’s mother said her son and Sadia used to lock in altercation over family matters regularly.
