Fire at Dhanmondi residential building

A fire broke out at a multi-storey residential building in Dhanmondi area of the capital on Saturday morning, reports UNB.

The fire originated around 9:25am at the 12-storey building on road No 6A, near the Eidgah ground, said Md Russell, duty officer at fire service central control room.

Three fighting units brought the fire under control around 10:10am.

“Two persons fell sick after breathing in the smoke. They were admitted to a nearby hospital,” the fire service official added.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage were not immediately clear.
