Schoolgirl ‘raped’ in Thakurgaon

A Class-V student was reportedly violated by a young man at Ruhia in Sadar upazila of Thakurgaon early Sunday, reports UNB.

Ruhia police officer in-charge Chittaranjan Roy said Jahidul Islam, 18, son of Hamidul Islam of Kanikshalgaon village of the upazila, picked the girl up with the help of his friend Rashed, 18, when she came out of her house to respond to the call of nature in the early hours.

Later, Jahidul violated her.

The victim's father filed a case against Jahidul and Rashed on Sunday afternoon in this regard.
