Body of RU student recovered

A student of Rajshahi University (RU) was found hanging in a mess in Rajshahi city on Monday evening, reports UNB.

The deceased was Firoz, 21, son of Saju Mia of Narayanpur village in Sadar upazila of Gaibandha district. He was a third-year student of Applied Mathematics department.

The mess owner found Saju hanging from the ceiling in the evening at Amzader Mor near the university campus and informed police, said Matihar police officer-in-charge Hafizur Rahman. 

On information, police rushed in and recovered the hanging body around 8pm, he said, adding that they sent the body to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Firoz's friends said their third year final exam is scheduled to begin on Wednesday. They all collected admit cards but Firoz did not as he said he would not sit for the exam this year.
