Army man killed in Chattogram road crash

A road accident on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway at Fouzdarhat in Sitakunda upazila left an army Lance Corporal dead and another injured on Tuesday night, reports UNB

The deceased, 38-year-old Sheikh Sabbir Ahmed, worked at the Bhatiari Military Academy. He was the son of Sheikh Jamil of Phultala upazila of Khulna.

Abdul Awal, officer-in-charge of Baro Aulia Highway Police camp, said the accident took place around 9:45pm.

Sabbir fell off his motorcycle after being hit by a vehicle. He died on the spot after being run over by another vehicle, the OC said.

Another man riding the motorcycle with Sabbir was injured in the accident. The injured, whose identity could not be known yet, was taken to local hospital.
