DSCC declares holiday Thursday paying homage to Khoka

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on Wednesday declared November 7 as holiday, paying tribute to former mayor of undivided Dhaka City Corporation Sadeque Hossain Khoka, reports UNB. 


All activities of the city corporation and its regional offices will remain closed on the day.

Freedom fighter Khoka, a former mayor and BNP vice-chairman, died at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York on Monday. He was 67.

His namaz-e-janaza will be held at the city corporation premises around 3pm on Thursday.
