DSCC councilors Rajib and Habibur sued by ACC

Anti Corruption Commission(ACC) on Wednesday filed two cases against two ward councillors of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on charge of accumulating illegal wealth, reports UNB. 

The two accused were identified as Habibur Rahman, councillor of ward no. 32 and Tarekuzzaman Razib, councillor of ward no. 33 under DSCC.

Public relations officer (PRO) of ACC Kumar Bhattacharjee told UNB that the cases were filed against the duo as they were seen to have accumulated massive wealth beyond the known sources.

Deputy director Gulshan Ara Pradhan filed the case against Habibur Rahman while assistant director Mamunur Rashid of ACC filed case against Tarekuzzaman Razib.

According to the case statements Habibur made over TK 300 million while Tarekuzzaman made TK 260 million misusing their power.
