President, PM mourn death of Moin Uddin Khan Badal

President M Abdul Hamid and prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of veteran politician and parliament member Moin Uddin Khan Badal, reports BSS.

In a message of condolence, the president recalled with profound respect the contributions of Badal to politics.

“The nation has lost a devoted politician in his death,” he said.

The head of state prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

Badal, the executive president of a faction of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) passed away this morning at a hospital in India. He was 67.

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina in a condolence message, also recalled with profound respect the contributions of Badal to politics.

“The nation has lost a dedicated politician in his death,” she said.

Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

He was elected lawmaker from Chattogram-8 constituency.
