Missing FMCH student found dead

The body of a missing student of Faridpur Medical College Hospital (FMCH) was recovered from Faridpur’s Munsibazar area on Saturday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Nayan Chandra Nath, son of late Dilip Chandra Nath of Azimpur village under Daganbhuiyan upazila in Feni. He was appearing in his professional medical exam at the end of his fifth year education at FMCH.

Enayet Hossain, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Faridpur Kotwali police station, said they recovered the body from the area around 7:30am.

The body was sent for autopsy, OC added.

Nayan’s classmates said he had been missing since Thursday. He went out of the residential hall about an hour before the fourth examination and been missing since then.

Md Wakif Ul Alam, a friend of Nayan, said he was mentally disturbed for the last few days after learning that he cannot become a surgeon because of some complications in his fingers.

FMCH principal Khabirul Islam told UNB that they filed a general diary with police after learning that Nayan had gone missing.
