Schoolboy stabbed dead in Jhenaidah

A 10th grader was stabbed to death by some miscreants in Kalikapur area of Sadar upazila of Jhenaidah on Saturday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Saidur Zaman Sifat, son of Monowar Mia of the area.

Victim's relatives said Sifat along with his friend Mahi were playing games on their cell phone while two young men attacked Mahi as a sequel to Friday's altercation. 

Sifat tried to save Mahi while the miscreants stabbed him and fled. The duo was rushed to Sadar Hospital where Sifat's condition deteriorated and he was referred to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital.

Later, Sifat succumbed to his injuries on the way to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Imdadul Haque said the adolescent boy was killed centering a dispute over drugs.
