PM Hasina warns people against propaganda

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday called upon the people not to be misled, saying that efforts are on to mislead them through propaganda.

“Confusion is created by spreading propaganda. I would like to tell everybody not to pay heed to this,” she said.

The prime minister said various kinds of propaganda regarding a crisis of onions, salt and so on are being spread to confuse the people.

The prime minister was addressing a reception at the Army Multipurpose Complex at Dhaka Cantonment this morning.

Her comments came following rumours about the price hike of essential commodities like onions, salt and rice.

The prime minister accorded the reception to the successors of Birshreshthos and other gallantry award-recipient freedom fighters of the armed forces on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day 2019.
