A woman was killed allegedly by her husband over family feud at Bandartila of Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) area on Sunday night, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Roksana Akhter, from Babuganj upazila of Barishal.

Meer Mohammad Nurul Huda, officer-in-charge of CEPZ Police Station, said they recovered Roksana’s body from her husband’s house and sent it to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.

“We initially suspect that Roksana’s husband Delwar Hossain strangled her before going into hiding,” the OC added.

Roksana’s sister Lucky Akhter filed a case with CEPZ Police Station in this regard.

The OC said both of them worked in garment factories in CEPZ but recently quit their jobs and had gone to the factories on Friday to collect the dues.
