3 JMB men detained in city

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Sunday arrested three members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from the city’s Bhatra area, reports UNB.

The arrestees are Abu Raihan alias Mahmud Alais A Hadi, an ameer, HabiburRahman alias Chan Mia and Rajibur Rahman alias Rajib alias Sagar.

Briefing reporters at the DMP media centre on Monday, CTTC unit chief Monirul Islam, said a special team of police conducted a drive at Syed Nagar area of Bhatara and arrested them around 7:40pm.

Police also recovered 150 detonators, jihadi books, one knife and explosives from their possession.
