3 killed in truck-bus collision

Three people were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on Dhaka-Barishal Highway in Bhanga, Faridpur on Tuesday.

The identities of the deceased could not be confirmed yet.

A Dhaka-bound Chandra Paribahan bus from Madaripur collided with a truck from the opposite direction around 8:30am in East Sadardi area, according to the police.

The accident left two persons dead on the spot while another injured one was declared dead by the physician after being taken to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex, say the police.

The damaged bus and truck are being removed from the spot to normalise transport movement along the road, Ataur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Bhanga Highway police station said.
