108 new dengue patients hospitalised

More than 100 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till 8:00am on Wednesday, reports UNB.

Forty-eight of them were hospitalised in Dhaka, the Directorate General of Health Services said in a regular update.

Since January, 99,863 people were hospitalised with dengue. Of them, 99,094 made full recovery. 

Currently, 505 patients, including 258 in the capital, are being treated at different hospitals.

The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) has received 264 reports of dengue-related deaths. It has reviewed 193 of them and confirmed 121 deaths.
