Ansar member shot dead in Jashore

A Ansar member was shot dead by some unknown miscreants in broad daylight at Hashimpur village in Jashore sadar upazila on Saturday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Hosain Ali Tarafdar, 55, son of Ershad Ali Tarafdar of Hashimpur village.
Locals said when Hosain was having tea in front of a tea stall in the village around 10:00am. A group of miscreants appeared there and fired gunshots on him, leaving him dead on the spot.
Victim's daughter said her father came home from Dhaka on a three-day leave and came under attack when he was going to a relative's house in the morning in Bhekutia area of sadar upazila.
Superintendent of police Moinul Haq and other senior police officials visited the spot.
Previous enmity might be the reason behind the murder, Moinul Haq said adding that police are trying to arrest the killers.
